Located just inside the Lake City, city limits. We are on the outskirts of town with lots of free parking for your larger vehicles and family gatherings. “The meat could stand alone and this would be an incredible restaurant. The meat is smoked with a very nice smoke ring and the smoky flavor that I love. Although this place does not serve traditional South Carolina BBQ for those of us that prefer more of the TN, GA, TX approach to BBQ this place is a Mecca for smoked meat. The owners are very friendly and personable as they assist you with your order. They will help you make your mind up on what to order by offering samples. Although all of the samples were great the brisket and pulled pork are my favorites. I have tried a lot of traditional and nontraditional BBQ in South Carolina and this place is definitely near the top and would be in my top 5 for the country.
The rest of the Slabs menu is very good as well with sides and desserts that are southern traditions with a unique touch. The dining experience is rustic, just as any great BBQ joint should be.”
